Fire magic

Postby Taylor » Jul 1st, '05, 10:21

At the moment I have been learning card magic and this is what I want to stick with but would like to incorporate some fire magic in with this to add an extra WOW factor.

Does anyone know of any websites to help me in my quest??
:D

Hi there!

You could try Jay Sankey's In a Flash - it's got cards, coins, and fire in one trick!

If you get that, you will also need some flash pads as they don't come with the trick.

That looks fantastic.

I'm going to have a look in the review section now to see what other people have to say about it.

Just what I was looking for cheers. :D

Had a look through most of the reviews and I am a little concerned about things not matching if you know what I mean?

Is it possible to make this yourself?

I don't have it but I'm pretty sure I know what you mean ;) - the coin?.

I guess you could theoretically make it yourself, but it would probably result more expensive than the one on Penguin.

Why not get it and see - the worst that can happen is that you use the quarter...

flash cards are good, but fire magic the fire wallet has to be one of the best you open a wallet to give somone your buisness card and it caches flame when you close it it goes out, re open it to give them your card.

In a flash is worth the money - a very impressive trick that the specs love

Hot Leads by Jim Pace is great if you use business cards.

Check out a demo here

Thats a great effect.

I wounder if you could use that if you was to take a card from the deck??

I don't know how its done so what I've just said might not be practical.

I know a guy who bought Hot Leads, thought it was brilliat, then after he used it a few times he realised that the business card he was giving out would spend a week or so in the recipients wallet and smell. Smell real bad. No-one really wants a business card that smells of burnt lighter fluid, so he no longer uses it. Sure, it's an individual way of getting your name out there, but I know I wouldn't want my leather Coutts & Co wallet (and all clothing I put it in thereafter) to stink.

In A Flash by Jay Sankey is definitely worth buying. A brilliant trick that knocks them over - but be sure to follow it up immediately - it doesn't take long for a spec to figure out the gaff involved. He may not work out the entire method, but the gaff, afterwards, IMHO is normally sussed through sheer common sense. I wouldn't use it as a closer.
