Have you tried this site. It's a really useful research tool. It doesn't have everything but it has a lot.

Try looking for it through categories.

Sammy--Are you thinking of 'Silent Treatment'
In this the magician is silent --in a routine IO wrote for a magic student--he had his mouth taped.
One by One the magician shows cards with questions for the audience to answer.
Includes a card which has a number of cards printed on it for the spectator to choose. from.
The instructions etc on the cards gett funnier,Finally the chosen card is in the performer's mouth.

It costs about £39 and is different and a great piece of comedy magic,
The printed instruction cards are approx. 7inches x 5 nches or the young guys--17 1.2. cms by 12 cms

There will be dems on You Tube I am sure.

thank you allen i should have thought to ask you straight off.

no its not silent treatment, its with a signed card its the basic signed card to mouth but with a taped head/mouth as an added impossiblity.

and in the fogs of my memory i swear iv seen it done and its VERY clean.

its just having a chat with a client (pipe and slippers) the other gig and she brought this up.

Wasn't this featured on one of P&T's 'Fool Us' shows, or am I misremembering?

Brynolf & Ljung did this on Fool Us and did indeed fool them (albeit in a rather controversial fashion).

It is claimed that they deliberately made it look like they did a switch at the end of the routine when they didn't, thus leading P and T to guess they did a switch when they would have, perhaps, otherwise had the method sussed.
