Hello Mr Invisible ! ..
I appreciate the works of both Derren Brown and the Mentalists , but I come more from the angle of application of these techniques in a Therapeutic context ! .. Are you , or is anyone here aware of the rich history of the french 'Magnetists' or Mesmerists ? .. this is an amazing a rich subject that I feel man y should once again be aquainted with !
Here is a sample of a one guys work over in France , 'Dr Marco Paret' .. I have personally become quite enthralled with his work over the last year or so ! .. what he does bridges very nicely the ancient concepts of Mesmerism & the therapeutic works of present day Hypnotism . Stage magicians these days also take a lot from the work of the old mesmerists , as do also the Mentalists to some extent .
Take a look at this stuff , quite fascinating ! .. the website is full of great free books and lots of other useful things !
