Wow. . . I just stumbled over a treasure chest for you. . .
Abbott's Magic is one of the oldest, still standing Brick & Mortar shops out there and they always have the good, nearly forgotten stuff out there. Here's the main link to their flower magic section

http://www.abbottmagic.com/Flower-Magic_c21.htmHarry Blackstone (Sr more so than Jr.) would walk out on stage and as two young ladies joined him, he'd offer them each a bouquet of Roses (sleeved) followed by two more for two other ladies (same) He would then take up a large cloth that could be seen as empty and from its folds produce 4 huge bouquets (Giant Garden of Flowers) followed by several bits no one else has every used and ending with two key pieces; the Florabella and then a grand production, usually a fountain but given how unpredictable said piece can be, the Abbott tub of Flowers & Doves would make for a nice segue piece, leading you straight into a nice Bird Act.
If you look at the catalog I just described an act that will cost you about $12,000.00 just to start. . the basics when it comes to a full flower act and that's the lower price. Unfortunately the art of making those beautiful plums is practically lost and the few that still do it expect firm compensation for their time becuase if is tedious work rife with eye strain.
For the time being, I'd just get the books and CDs that are being offered and build up from there.
I have a unique knowledge of the Blackstone act so feel free to IM me should you have any questions.
