Hello everyone!

I've been lurking 'round here for a little while now and thought it was time to sign up and get involved.

I've loved card magic since I was a boy. My father had Lorayne's Close Up Card Magic and he used to show me tricks and then teach me.

I was doing Out of This Universe when I was eleven (riffle shuffles and all) and although I went on to focus on other things, I never lost my love of card magic.

Recently (about six months ago)I stumbed on the Penguin Magic site, and after downloading a couple of tricks, my interest was re-ignited.

Since that time, I have bought and worked steadily through, The Royal Road as well as spending a fortune on all sorts of tricks from packet tricks such as NFW(which I LOVE) to non-card magic.

My particular interest is in mentalism, but anything that creates that moment when you can't believe what you are witnessing (you know what I mean!) does it for me.

I have also just got my first paid magic gig at an event in London in a couple of months. (The organiser saw me performing to some people I had just met last week)A mixture of excitment, eagerness and complete terror flows through me!

I've been impressed with the knowledge and enthusiasm of posters on this site and I look forward to becoming part of this great community.
