Something Wicked This Way Comes

Postby Beardy » Jun 7th, '12, 19:34

Imagine Derren's 'Something Wicked'

Now imagine his glass walk......

Just imagine if he did that with Lego....

Ouch!!

I'm sensing an idea here somewhere....

Love

Never mind that. I would like to see this routine....

Having placed a sleeping baby into its crib, the magician creeps out of the room, across the hall and down the stairs, ALL WITHOUT STEPPING ON A CREAKY FLOORBOARD!!!

Now THAT would be impressive!!

(this will mean nothing to non parents)

I may have been born yesterday but I stayed up all night.

Some possibly relevant, but definitely interesting references:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Across_the ... gale_Floor

When I navigate the upstairs hallway, in the dark and avoiding the known creaky bits, I sometimes remember reading Across The Nightingale Floor :)

When I read the post about lego, an image of Paul Harris' Little Man flashed into my mind, followed by the price tag for the lego version. Sounds like you're on to a winner there, would be great if you could scoop up a good handful of lego at the end, and have it turn into a fully assembled model, in the same vein as that Doggy Doo trick with the beads.

No way you can do that without the baby being a stooge...

The most impossible thing would be for a young mentalist doing a routine that is not a variation of one of Derren's.

A Lego brick version would be good, but probably more expensive than the glass...

I wish we had an applause icon!

(Although to be fair, Derren has done an awful lot of stuff.)

I might be able to do the creaky floorboard one. I have the ability to move extremely quietly, but usually when I don't mean to, resulting in work colleagues jumping out of their skins.

So you reckon standing on Lego is painful? Hah, let me tell youse folks, standing on little plastic bricks is nothing, nothing I tell you, to the pain and agony encountered when standing on those sharp metal brackets, fishplates, screws, spiky brass cogs, wheels, axles and other bits and pieces known collectively as Meccano! Even Chuck Norris puts on protective footwear to walk on that stuff.....
