Hi all can anybody tell me where i can get the effect that turns water into real wine how barry and stuart did on the magicians. Ive been searching the net and the only versions i can find just changes the colour, so if anybody knows can they please advise me on where i should be looking for the effect i need. thanks again.

I haven't seen it, but if it's the one they did live with bottled water look up Sean field's '7334' with the water to mouthwash

The only way you'll learn this one is to go along to their Show & Tell show that is touring. They will tell you how it is done.

I think he's looking for a version where the taste changes as well - Any Drink Callled For type of thing.

Aye - it's B&S's own method. It's not been published, but they tip the method on their Show & Tell show (the Tell half, obviously).

I saw the show in Birmingham last night and they do indeed explain the full details.

i was also at the birmingham show on friday night mandrake what did you think overall.... felt a bit bad for barry falling over and smashing his mike lol...

I thought it might have been part of the act but soon realised it wasn't! I saw their previous show in Stafford just over 12 months ago so some of this show was familiar, even so still worth seeing again. I still don't believe the explanation for the magazine memorising effect, far too complicated and there are much easier ways of doing the same thing. The murder weapon thing was good, I do something along those lines but with a different method and it usually goes over very well indeed. The Twitter prediction was good but went over my head somewhat as I'm not into Twitter - the rest of it was excellent!

I enjoyed it all even if that blasted memory list is still stuck in my brain.... Afro, Potato, Fish Fingers, Blue Balloon (that was me by the way!), Roses, Pink Cadillac with black stripes, Leg warmers, Malteesers, Penguins and, er, dildo..... Have cursed two local Tescos for not stocking the appropriate bottle ( ) but am still hunting.....

I caught them on Sunday Brunch sunday morning, I wasn't quite sure if they were talking about their stage show or if S&T is going to be on TV soon. Does anyone know if it's going to be on TV?

It's still on tour apparently so if it's on TV I'd hope it would be the 'show' part or , even better, a new show. As long as it's not on before Christmas as I'm doing their water to wine routine over the holiday period and possibly again in January!

See now that's where I caught them SB. They just did the water to wine trick and mentioned that they would be revealing how it's done, but not sure if they meant on TV or tour. I guess they meant tour because it would be futile to put on TV now and continue touring throughout the year. It's one trick I really want to know how it's done lol

I don't really understand why they're doing the 'tell' part of that show. I never got to see it but a few (lay) friends did and said that they really enjoyed the 'show' but felt really let down and underwhelmed after the 'tell'.

That's the case with all magic though when you go from spectator to 'learning'. I remember being so underwhelmed that TT's were used with silks. If you're someone wanting to know about and learn magic then I guess the tell part is always going to be ok. But if you always intend to remain nothing more than a spectator, then the tell part should be when you leave.
