Mesika wax no longer sticky. anyIdeas on how to make sticky?

Postby jdthemagicman » Apr 28th, '12, 14:15

Hi,

I have some mesika which I haven't used in a while and it's just not sticky anymore...(literally, not at all)

Anyone got any ideas on how rejuvenate the wax?

Much appreciated :)

I'm sure you have already done this but have you warmed the wax between your fingers?

Ive been given a few pellets of the stuff, and i found that the best thing to do is breath on it,Then roll it between the fingers.

Clown wax is good but a little to soft. Bees wax is same but expensive. This may sound strange, it is.
Go to your supermarket and or a supermarket wich carries imported cheeses. Try to get what is called in Italian
GALBANINO it's a sort of mozzarella cheese semi soft which is covered by a clear wax, appart from being good the wax is the best, even in consistency. Try it, you'll thank me later.

P.S. it will last you life time.

I personally use braces/dental wax.

I have a friend who works on the reception desk at the local dental surgery (wouldn't get me going there otherwise, but thats another story lol)

they gave me a few cases of the stuff, it's nice and compact, slimline, fits nicely in the pocket for walkaround stuff and you can pre roll it and keep it stored in the little flat case.....

found it quite useful for quick 'improptu' card on ceiling, behind bar, any location really!!

Much love

Is this the red coloured ribbon wax we are talking about here?

I work in a dental surgery but we don't do orthodontics. I presume the wax you are talking about is specific to ortho. Does it come in sticks or sheets or is it soft enough to be in a pot with a screw lid?

I will see if the practice manager can order some. Does it say carding or ribbon wax on the box?
