I'm looking to buy some "Magicians Wax" for card work, & was wondering
which is the best to go for.

I use dental/braces wax, works perfectly!

There are 2 kinds:
Soft--often used for Card on Ceiling
Hard-- as used with ITR's etc.

With regard to the hard--- I like David Robbins & Co. It is nearly transparent and adheres excellently.
Comes in a small plastic box.
Michael Ammar's--I only had the grey. Good but did not appeal to me.

It ALL depends on what you want to do.
I used Melrose for years. local Chemist --used for dry & rought skin.
Lipsyl often works as well.

does lipsyl really work?! seriously?!

i tried using it for a card appears on arm written in ash and just ended up with a sticky arm

Aza. It is meant to just stick 2 cards together like Roughing Fluid.

On the arm--soap, very slightly dampened or
Ash Pen-- the ready made image producer on the arm. See Dealers.

Aza: TRY it thin line, round the white edges of the card first --on the back of the face shown card
Melrose is stronger but Lypsyl is cheaper

AZA: is the bloke's name. IF I answer someone direct I like to use that person's name. Hence the : after his name.
If it is Melrose as I wrote a few posts up--the chemists. It comes in a large--approx 10 or so cms long, tube

And what I have forgotten about is--REPOSITIONABLE GLUE.

It is a Non Permanent adhesive.
You can apply it--stick two things as cards to gether--then separate them at will

I first came across it in an article and later book by Anthony Owen--he called it Blue Glue.

I have only ever used the stick but it is available (more expensive) in a spray can. Works a bit like the spray stuff for mounting photographs.

SHOP AROUND. I bought my first stick-- Scotch Brand-- from W H Smith's

Amazon have someone else' BRAND,AT £6: 27 for 6 sticks/Not sure how big these are.

Wilkinson's Stores do Bostik repositionable glue at a very reasonable price, also don't forget places like Hobbycraft as well as Viking, Staples, Rymans, W.H.Smith etc All very excellent suppliers of stuff for magic!
