Last night I was practising my juggling when I thought I'd like to try a trick that used juggling as a central part of it. The idea I came up with was to have a spectator select a card, then take two other cards. They would then place the 3 cards on a table. I would then juggle with balls marked 1, 2, and 3, and once they said "Stop", the ball they selected would correspond with the position of their card. I have no problem doing this if the cards are face up, but I'd imagine face down would be a lot more impressive. So my question is, without using a marked deck, is there a reliable way of doing this? If so, can you direct me to a book, or some other resource, to learn the method? Thanks.
