Shopping!

Postby AJ82 » Jul 21st, '12, 15:40

I have just re-introduced myself but to cut a long story short I need to shop!

I need to replace some basics that have been damaged in my recent move and I am looking for some short, simple card tricks to get me back in the swing of things. So whats new and works well? Something along the lines of the classic 3 colour monte or The Web which was an old favourite of mine which I still love and do.

Anyone got any UK internet based shops they want to suggest as well? 2 I use to use seem to have vanished!

I have moved away from 'normal' magic but i still keep my toe in the water. Garrett Thomas' “Stand-Up Monte” is very good and something i highly recommend.

Thanks Stephen, just looked at your link in your signature, very cool. Not something I have ever fancied trying dipped in to the mental field for a bit but I found it hard, interesting but hard and at the time didnt have the time to spend on it.

Stand-up monte is going on my list :)

Hi Alex,

I'm currently watching Card Startlers by Paul Gordon and can recommend it. Plenty of solid tricks ranging from pretty simple to those requiring a bit more work but they are mostly pretty short effects with just a standard pack.

Shaun.
