hay iv got an idea, im currently performing a blindfold routine as part of my set. But iv had an idea

while performing blindfold stuff ect my ideal would be if i could hands off have a spec choose a celeb out of a mag.

and this will be reveled later.

struggling to find a method of forcing cleanly this celeb

without cards or maths.

*just for spec to turn to any page look at a celeb, DONE!

Riffle force? Or Hoy-style miscall?

Neither of those are as hands-off as your description though.

Could you force the page somehow, a riffle and miscall can work nicely and then use a progressive anagram or multiple outs to reveal the name they're thinking of?

Osterlind has a lovely magazine version, can't remember which DVD but i am sure someone will remember

Try the one in the big Mark Wilson's Book where you give the work of literature to the spectator and they hold it behind their back and put a cross in it somewhere with a felt tipped pen and when you flick through and look for the cross after it is the picture you forced them to pick - the method is simple and its explained in the book.

Give the participant a pen ask them to flip through the pages behind their back (so they can't be influenced),tell them to stop on any page and draw a big tick (again behind their back), whatever celeb is on or next to the page that's been randomly selected is the one you use.

Although instead of behind their back, you could have them use the blindfold. Thereby confirming that you can't see through it without having to bring it up.

Hopefully you recognize the force I'm talking about, if not, I'm pretty sure it's in 13 steps, but it may be in M,M&M. If someone else knows what I'm talking about maybe they can fill Sammy in.

a couple of years ago Craig Petty was working on an idea that used a celeb in a magazine. Might be worth asking him.

Also used in an episode of Columbo if I'm not mistaken (with a map of the city).

I've just finished reading the good, Miss Harris' Murder in Mind. The work contains a jolly good force that utilises a phone directory which you may find a useful application for in your work.

mark wilsons mag force is an excellent yet simple force... CLASS

If you put post it notes of different colours in a magazine on each page there is a celeb (Obviously using a magazine with as few pics as possible), you can tell by a glance what page they have opened up to by looking at the notes, and the direction their eyes are looking (Left or right hand page)

Or alternatively, you could use something like Max Maven's Para-Sight, or Barrie Richardsons Magazine Test? Both of these are fairly hands off, and could do what you want.
