I am working on some coin palming, and I was wondering what size coins other people use?

I am working with a 2 pence peice.

AFAIK a 2p coin is too small for comfortable palming, but unfortunately there aren't really bigger coins in the UK. Half-dollars are supposed to be the best (I think) but they're quite hard to get a hold of. Maybe if you have a friend in the US?

I don't actually think that £2 coins are that much bigger than 2p ones...

I don't know what the sizes of your coins are so you'd have to know the size relationship to US coins.

Generally, I use quarters and half dollars. Recently I started to adapt to silver dollars but the large size, weight and rarity of the coins make them impractical.

My overall favorite is the Sacagawea gold dollar. Slightly larger than a quarter, a little thicker. They're a dream to handle. I've actually been looking into the Miracle Coin (Same concept as Coin Unique but with the gold dollar and quarter).

One question - Where can I get my hands on Euro coins for a reasonable price? Sure, they'd seem out of place, but I really like the look of some of them. I've been wanting to find some nice Euro coins for International Exchange style effects.

Sorry to say but the best place for Euro coins is probably Europe itself if you can find anyone going there or living there. Most money exchanges only deal with notes/bills and won't touch coins at all so a personal arrangement is perhaps the only way to get any coins. The UK still doesn't offically use them but many places will accept them for purchases although they don't get given out as change.

Try a 50p piece.
The corners help you grip the coin - good way to start before graduating onto other coins.

Great idea! The $/£ and € exchange rate is moving in your favour so now is the time to get over and do Europe - plenty of warm beer included!

from recollection the one Euro coin is about the same size as our 10p piece. Can't remember if they do a 5 Euro coinbut for some reason I seem to recall a coin just a little smaller that the £2 coin.

There isn't a 5 Euro coin though. They can be bought in the US from http://www.americanmint.com/category.as ... LE&eid=046 but are far too expensive at those prices!

You have to love how they can charge $5 for a $1 coin and manage to keep a straight face while doing it. Vintage coins, I can see the price hike - but not brand new.

Although - those DaVinci Italian Euros are pretty sweet!
