If he's copied the idea of using questionable techniques to imply he's a better magician than he is, then inventing that is nothing to brag about.

If he's copied the idea of doing close up 'street magic' on camera then ahem Blaine cough cough.

If he's copied the idea of walking on water from Criss then some fella called Jesus might have something to say about it.

I imagine Dynamo is too busy entertaining himself reading Angel's live show reviews to worry about this.

Criss Angel is everything that is wrong with magic, the whole elitist attitude thing.....

Watching that video reminded me of two words, probably only make sense this side of the pond but what an absolute (crows first thing in the morning!)

Much love

Does anyone know the name of his mexican assistant from BeLIEve?
Totally the best part of the show; although Criss does come across a lot better in person than on TV.

Custom R&S decks made to specification - PM me for details

Everyone stand back and take the wider view, this is pure hype designed to generate publicity over diddly squat.

After reading some of the reviews of 'Believe' online I would say that he needs any publicity he can get.

Dynamo is not as well known as some might think, firstly most lay people in America haven't even heard of Derren Brown so what's the odds of them knowing who Dynamo is? Secondly most people in England haven't actually heard of Dynamo, don't forget he's not on a major channel, apparently none of my brothers friends have ever heard of him.

So I still maintain that Criss is doing Dynamo a favor, he defiantly believes that even negative publicity is good publicity. But then I think Randi and Uri Geller are in cahoots as well, so maybe that's just me.

But if Criss Angle is serious, then he actually does have a point. Leaving aside the obvious Jesus joke, walking on water was Criss Angel's effect. When I heard Dynamo had done it I assumed he had got permission to do so. If he hadn't then yes Dynamo stole an illusion from Criss Angel and that's not okay despite what you may personally think of either of them.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

Then surely the most prudent way of dealing with this alleged theft would be to contact Dynamo's management to discuss it... oh, wait, I forgot who was involved. Forget dignity or decorum: big public shouting thing all the way! It's almost as if he's courting the publicity...

Regrettably our old friend The Masked Magician revealed the secret to walking on water long before Dynamo even thought of getting his tootsles damp. Walking down the outside of a building was one which Criss did and which Dynamo did on the recent series. However, how many professionals on the cabaret or cruise ships circuits are doing the same effects as each other? The biog difference here is that Criss and Dynamo performed on TV so the audiences are potentially much bigger. Even so, if one guy walks on water and another guy does the same thing a few years later is it really such a big deal? I guess that someone somewhere is expecting commission or a performance fee if their innovation was used - and that's quite understandable. Again, the best way to deal with this is quietly via the legally trained chaps.

Roni Shachnaey called me this morning to ask if I'd seen the original video. I'm not really sure how many ways there are to get a coin inside a soda can, but it can't be that many. Maybe the important point is that the effect types in both men's cases are unoriginal.
