I have been following the news since 9am this morning, and all I can do is sit here slack jawed.

From initial reports of a power surge, through to the more recent reports of train collisions—without negative speculation, this surely has to be a terrorist incident.

I speak for all when I say our thoughts are with those who are in or around the City, and to those with friends or families affected by the incidents.

What is the World coming to? The morning after jubilation and celebration over the Olympic news, our spirits are dampened by death, destruction and mindless brutality.

My prayers go out to everyone in the UK. It is my sincerest hope that all members here, and their families and friends are safe from harm and in good health.

For those who are involved in any way, my deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to you all.

I will second that and could not have put it any better myself.

Hello, haven't been around in ages but I just had to add my consent to this thread.
My thoughts are with the people who have been touched by this terrible act.

Let us hope the country remembers that only love can win this war, hate will only dig trenches.

Simon.

The emergency services did a terrific job and it could have been far worse than it was, had it not been for their courageous efforts!

I know several people who were fairly close to the incidents and have heard nothing but good reports about the way the emergency services dealt with the situation.

Let's hope that the forensic analysis uncovers some clues that lead to the cowards who did this being brought swiftly to justice.
