Stage effect

Two people sign cards then return them to the box, what in peoples views are the most impossible locations for these cards?

Wallet and shoe is pretty much the best I have come up with so far...not saying they are bad but with a little more imagination could I be doing something more amazing?

Well the gimmick already exists to allow you to make them appear anywhere. I would be tempted to offer the specs a frisbee or soft toy to throw into the audience. Let them chuck it about Til the spec on stage chooses to stop. Ask the person holding the cuddly toy to come up on stage. Ask for their wallet or purse and BOOM!! The signed card is in there.

That would amaze the pants off of anyone and leave them with a massive headache trying to figure it out.

That IS about as impossible as it gets...had already crossed my mind as well...so tempting...

Mac King does card to zipper on stage and its hilarious. Ends with card to lunch box, in sealed cereal packet.

I've been on stage with him when he did that and it was hilarious. What makes it even better is the sequence:

First it's card to pocket.
Then it's card to pocket and he made me reach in to get it.
Then it was card to zipper.
Then he made me reach into his pocket and the only thing in there was a fig roll. Then he just sort of looked at his trouser zip, then looked at me. The audience was in tears.

First time I saw him the husband of the woman he had on stage got up and shouted at Mac for the zipper bit and he cut the trick off there.
Fortunatley 2 days later I found myself with little to do and wondering past Harrah's again and thought "yeah, i'd see that twice in 2 days; so I did, by myself"; totally worth it, still as brilliant 2nd time round and got to see the full 'card to' routine.
I now have a card signed my Mac twice, on one side says "I'm Mac King" and on the other "I'm STILL Mac King"

Anyway, running off topic.
Ideas:
as an alternative not using a gimmick coudl you use a switch? mercury fold and then card to... wherever really..... (box in a box in a box in a box...)

On page 150 of PMM Annemann describes a routine called 'Reincarnation' where a prediction ends up inside an envelope, inside an envelope, inside an envelope. The method is simple and I wanted to expand on it. I wanted the third envelope to include a prediction inside a small weapons tube. Just incase you don't know a weapons tube is a small plastic sealed tube that is undone by unscrewing the two pieces apart. They're used by the emergency services to store knives, needles etc. They're see through so you could see the prediction inside the tube. Thinking of a solution is hurting my brain so I'll be watching this thread with interest!!!

One of my favorite variations of this particular plot is Roberto Giobbi's 'The Joker Folds Up' (Card College 5).

Before the card is selected, the performer displays a small box. A Glass tumbler is placed over the box to isolate it from any shenanigans. Long story short - the selected, signed card appears in the box which has been in full view and isolated since the beginning (this also has a full explanation of the mercury card fold).

Another variation is the Elmsley approach, whereby a card placed aside sight-unseen at the beginning turns out to be the spec's signed card ('Between your Palms').

Finally, you can use some of the Ortiz routines for multiple signed cards to multiple impossible locations ('The Showdown', 'Smart Money', 'Pocket Money', 'Hitchcock Travelers')

BUT looks like one in my wallet which has been looked after my one spectator and one in my shoe are the winners...HOWEVER...card to random audience members wallet might just be too tempting...

I know this won't help. But Jay Sankey taught me the mercury fold and his teaching made it so stupidly easy. I think he teaches it somewhere on a dvd but unsure where.

And yes Mac Kings routine is brilliant. Just keep in mind he has the personality to pull it off. Somebody else attempting the same thing and it may just appear...creepy.

In your shoe is not impossible - in a spectators wallet is not impossible - I want the card to be in the wallet (or shoe) of a completely random passerby on a busy street in another country. You have a live video feed and your assistant is in the city and you pick someone out - (eg. that woman with the umbrella) and then they go up to them and she takes off her shoe and it's in there... the card is signed and has an image drawn on of their choice drawn on the front, that the magician never sees.
