Your personal favourite close-up/table/walkaround tricks

Postby Aza » Oct 23rd, '12, 17:26

As the thread says,

I just wondered what everyone's personal faves were....

The best thing i ever had performed for me was signed card in my wallet, back in my layman days!!

Now i see things through magicians eyes, i really like seeing versions of Triumph....

Much love

Chicago Opener (twice)
Card to pocket (trouser pocket, jacket and zipper)
ILC (or Oracle depending on situation)
Ace sandwiches
Frixion reveal on business card

There you go, that's pretty much my 8 or 9 years of practise summed up into my act.

Custom R&S decks made to specification - PM me for details

Card on the ceiling, card in bottle, card in spectator's sock.

I don't do any of them, but I do enjoy them.

Particularly the spectators sock one.

Okay so I lied about the spectator's sock, I've never seen that done. It'd be good though.

1) Card to pocket/wallet/shoe/wherever.

2) Acidus novus (I don't care what anybody says, I do this all the time and I always get amazing reactions. You can do it right under someone's nose and they are none the wiser)

3) Triple impact - Impossible card routine with an instant reset. What more can you want????

Absolutely agree! If there is one trick I am asked to perform again it is the bunnies. I have some regular customers at the pub where I perform and if the come in with someonewho hasn't seen me before I am always asked to do this first.

I love it

Thinking about performing, my favourite walk around routine is professors nightmare, because it's just so versatile.

"Business Lunch" Lee Smith.
From his Step System dvd.

This routine is one of my favourite to do, & it always leaves them jaw dropped.
It's gained me quite a reputation.....Fantastic.

I did my first proper table hopping "gig" (unpaid) a few weeks ago, and the effects I found myself using most were:

Gregory Wilson's pointless
A three coin routine using the split coin (mexican split from split happens by Craig Petty, if you are interested)
and rubber band up nose.
