First attempt at stage show

Postby Aza » Nov 27th, '12, 18:04

Well I have a bit of an odd one coming up which is compering an open mic night and magic in between all the other acts how lucky am I?!

I've decided ill do a couple of simple effects like silk through microphone stand and production of something from my shoe (probably a can of coke, just for the visual)

Then the serious bits where they need more time I'm going to do a bank night routine, a tossed out deck and Wayne Dobson's exchange.

Now I feel I can pull these off to a decent standard, have I missed anything nice and simple that would wow?

Much love

Have you thought about a splash bottle?

Totally agree with dobsons exchange.

I'd have to see a video of you performing before I could suggest an effect, but imho I think the most important thing is that everything flows smoothly from the time you walk on till when you walk off. If there are 30 second pauses to get the next part ready, it can take away a lot from an act.
