I am looking for a portable magic table/stand/ not sure what its called. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I was hoping to see what everyone else was using.

FUnilly enough I was considering buying a table myself and don;t particularly like the traditional magicians tables. I was looking for a table that I could sit down at, or stand at along with some specs and perform at the table.

I was also considering a higher table and found in the argos or index catalogue a contemporary chrome and glass top coffee table that stands around four feet high abnd had two marching tall chairs for about £80. Would be idel with some inexpensive baize draped over the top

I made my own table/box. The back of the box is removable and becomes a reasonable sixed top for the table when three flaps are folded up from on top. Seems to work ok, but unfortunately not having learned in any technical fashion how you are supposed to go about designing this kind of thing I didn't draw any pictures and only wrote down five numbers so I can't share the design really!

However, if you have some time and want a painted table it isn't too hard to do plus you can carry stuff around in it.

Jim Gerrish has published an e-book called "PVC Pipe & Dollar Store Illusions for the REALLY, REALLY Cheap Illusionist!" In Book one, he has plans for making backdrops and a huge portable stage, complete with dressing room from PVC pipes and plastic Dollar store curtains, for a cost of about $25 USD, depending on how large you want it. In Book 3, there are plans for making a PVC pipe table, with every gadget you could ever want built into it. The advantage to working with PVC pipe is that it is cheap and as easy to work with as Tinker Toys.
