Unsure on the difference between "act" and "evening of psychic entertainment" other than marketting. It's probably just in our own interpretations of the word that we differ, we're probably meaning the same kind of thing; but let's not diverge into that here.
I agree with what you say regarding it not being a trick and would not intend to present it as such; I'm currently just collecting ideas, pieces to form part of the whole; and think this would be a good hook for, as you say, mood setting and emotional inducement.

The bell that rings, the picture that falls, the candle that flickers... the radio that whispers...

What I perform in the privacy of my own bedroom is none of your business. If you don't like it don't watch my youtube videos.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

You silly sausage...

The most important and useful thing is that it doesn't need a pay off. Essentially, it is the pay off. Like all effective seance bits, the effect happens in the punters' minds. We supply the radios in the original box and bubble wrap pouch, and with the original manual - like it's just come from Dixons. When you bring it out, the punters are already in a naturally heightened state of suggestion. The prop is just a cheap portable radio alarm clock, and because of that we've discovered that the effect is disproportionately real for them.

I've updated the manual, which can be downloaded free here: http://www.subversivecircuits.co.uk/manuals/

Freddie has also very kindly written up a set of rather excellent performance notes, which we send out when you place the order for you to peruse while awaiting delivery. If anyone has already ordered and hasn't had these notes, please drop me a line and I'll sort you out.

Dear Tomo,

Please stop making beautiful things.

Yours sincerely,

If the spectator doesn't engage in the effect,
then the only thing left is the method.
