Ghost Kings DVD

Postby PHlipper » Jun 14th, '05, 16:51

I'm sorry if this is already here, but I can't find it anywhere...

Has anyone seen this, and is it worth the bucks?

From the description it seems that this is going to be an explanation of the old Count Elmer Fudd (If you get my meaning :? )

It also seems as if it is going to teach how to perform this with a borrowed deck (very desirable) - or will it show a process of creation?

Should I or should I not buy it?

This is a blatant ripoff of the Asher Twist :(.

Another fine MM product :x

The shop used in the link on the original post of this thread is a complete waste of time.

I have never shopped there, and I don't know of any stories of bad servcie or anything.

The only way I know that it's c*** (not the best), is that it sells a lot of the props that Mark Wilson shows you how to make in his book, 'Complete Course in Magic.'

For goodness' sake, they sell silk cones! You can make one for less than a pound!

OK, I can see that this is a bad place to shop....and also that the DVD is a rip off.
The trouble is...I just visited Lee Asher's site because I don't agree with plaguerism, and his video tutorial of the 'Twist is marked 'SOLD OUT'

Now what would you suggest?

I have this dvd - I got it bundled free with some other magic stuff I bought - basically, its c*** (not the best) - the effect is performed well on the dvd, but the explanation is not the most professional or clear I have ever seen. It will tell you all you need to know to do the trick, but isn't the easiest way of learning I don't think.
I reckon a similar dvd by someone else would probably be better. The best dvd I have seen by far is by De'vo - although thats for flourishes, not so much tricks - but his explanations are really easy to follow.

I prefer to do a much simpler one which uses a bit of funny ;) counting. I'll PM you.

Sure, this one is cleaner, but it's a bit of a one-trick pony - nothing you can use the move for except for the one effect, so no point spending ages on it.
