He's now thankfully deleted the uploads and his Facebook profile after I posted his details in loads of places magic related to let people know what he's been up to. There are a group of them that run a forum including Ed "Eddini" Draughn and a few others. I'm onto them.

Thanks sir. I won't post a link to the forum itself because its full of illegal files but people are onto them and I'm prepared to name and shame them.

Bravo good, sir! Low lifes such as these deserve to be named, shamed and swiftly hoisted at the yardarm.

The trouble with "initiating proceedings" if you are talking about this in a legal action sense is that you haven't got a chance in hell. If someone lives in another country you may as well forget it. It becomes very difficult indeed not to say prohibitively expensive and in the end ineffective. The other actions you suggest may bear better fruit. I have always known that a person being sued is in a FAR better position that the person doing the suing. And if in a different country then "virtually impossible" is the expression that comes to mind. I am glad I learned that when I was young and have found the knowledge very useful.

We have traced the owner of the site that has been uploading these illegal files to an address in Washington,
We have his name, full address, place of work, university he attends, his fathers name, email address and place of work.
If we formed a consortium of people who have had their work pirated then we may have a good chance legally. Otherwise I'll name and shame him and publish his details everywhere I can.

I think Teller (who has more money than most magicians) is still having a hard time with his lawsuit. It's very unfortunate.

But teller is involved in a stolen routine...which isn't published, whereas Freddie is dealing with published materials being stolen and shared illegally, I believe.

Plus Teller appears to be a pleasant, easy going nice guy - I'm not!

I really hate people like this, they seem to think that it's fine to just pass around other people's hard work. That's one of the reasons that I'm finishing the Enchanter's Emporium, my books started to pop up on the torrent and file sharing sites and I've diceided that I'd rather just not put anything out there rather than have it passed around like that.

Most of the people doing it aren't hardened criminals or clever pirates.
They are obnoxious teenage kids. Although they hide behind user names on an illegal forum we've found out their real names and their address. Practically everything about them.
