Magician's wallet

Postby DaveD » Dec 19th, '12, 23:19

I am fairly new to magic - am recently semi-retired. Need some help with a wallet which will give me minimum 6 outs ie any one of 6 cards can be produced from the wallet as if only 1 was there. An added feature of an non-palm CTW effect would be useful. Any suggestions ?

Thanks

There are many wallets available, but this one is cheap and if you only need a 6 out wallet this will do.

All the best

My suggestion would be to learn how to palm ;)

Steve, thanks for the reply. However, I want a wallet that can also used as an every day wallet.

Espionage Wallet?

Some of the features contained within the Espionage
No Palm Card to wallet
Palm Card To Wallet
Billet to wallet
Very clever Internal peek
External peek
Perfect switch wallet
SUC function
Holdout system
Billet Index
Card Index
Shogun System

The index can deal with six cards.

Can i be honest, as amazing a wallet as it is, and the co-creator is a close friend of mine, and i will be buying one to satisfy my CUPS, the card to wallet function isn't a primary function of the wallet having played with it. The rest of the features are awesome though!

Much love

True, it is primarily a mentalism wallet, but the OP said:

So, the main aim is the six card out. The Espionage happens to allow for a non-palm CTW too (but it isn't the best of this type). The better non-palm types are usually aimed more at magicians.

If it were just being used for producing outs, I might say the Heirloom Wallet, as I think the index in that is arguably better than the one in the Espionage Wallet (and it certainly holds more). It depends, ahem, on one's point of view, I suppose! The EW is ultra clean if one feels the need to demonstrate that there were no other cards. The HW is better for a more casual approach. It doesn't have the no-palm CTW feature, though.

Are the slots in the Heirloom wallet large enough to hide a poker sized card ? The gaffs used in Heirloom are much smaller. I want to use the wallet for Heirloom but also for other tricks involving cards. Thanks for all the replies so far.

No.

Bridge sized cards might be OK, but I haven't got any to hand to try (typical magician - most households in the UK would have bridge-sized cards!). The amount the poker sized card projects looks as though even bridge sized cards might be a fraction of an inch too long to be hidden (or at least it would be very easy for a card to shift slightly and project a tiny bit). If I find one of my many bridge sized packs, I will check for you.
