Free Magic tutorials from top magicians

Postby Jerome the French » Jan 24th, '13, 10:22

Hey Guys,
Roy Zaltsman is an Israeli magician who sends regularly free magic video (via private youtube clips), where he or some of his friends (including: Aaron Fisher, Joshua Jay, Thom Peterson, Flip!, Manuel Muerte, Gregory Wilson....) explain a trick, or a move. I have learnt some cool stuff over there, and the good news? It's free to register, and receive the videos! I have not received spam or anything.

Click on the link below to register:
http://www.telepathy.co.il/unpublished/?ref=jeromeb

It is basically a newsletter, and the videos are about 5 minutes each.

If you have any questions or anything, feel free to get in touch!

By The way, I think I forgot to mention that these tutorials are of unpublished stuff, so there are some really nice surprises at times!

Hi Jerome,

In the interests of full disclosure, do you think you should tell people that by signing up through the link you provided, people are potentially helping you to win a competition? That would seem the honest way to do it. It would also help to explain why you have started two duplicate threads - a practice that is generally seen as poor forum etiquette.

Also, I'm sure it's just a coincidence that you have returned to the forum as this competition started, after almost a year away, but you have to admit it looks a bit like spamming, no?

Dear both, yes it is true,
I took part in this competition.
That said, it does not change the fact that the Roy Zaltsman videos are usually very good and varied. I learnt a lot of things from them.

As for my posting on the forum, it is true that it has been a year since my last post, simply because I have been involved in some unpleasant exchanges; this forum is very crowded, and some users are a bit too aggressive for my liking. That said, I have been around reading reviews etc.
I have noticed that on crowded forums, it often becomes quite venimous after a while (I am also part of music forums etc). So I backed off a bit...
So my contribution to the forum has been minimal, this is a fact.

As for the duplicate thread, well I originally posted it in the miscellaneous section, which was maybe not the best, since these are tutorials, I thought I put it too in tips. I am not gonna post it anywhere else, I am not a spammer.

Feel free to ask moderators to remove my posts if you want, I don't really mind.
Although your reaction kind of demonstrates my feelings towards the forum...

I did not mention the competition because I thought that did not affect the fact that Roy's videos are quality, and I thought users of this forum might benefit from it; it is in no way offensive to anyone...

If tomorrow you post something that benefits me, I do not care if that enters you in a competition... I won't feel used, especially if I gain something form it myself... That's what we do on another forum I am part of (small community, music forum). Anyway.

So I apologise if I offended anyone, yes I have entered a competition to win magic stuff, if you do not wanna join through the link above, well, google Roy's name and register on his website, you won't help me to win... but you will gain something from these videos.

I think this sort of thing falls into a little grey area as far as the forum rules go, it probably would be courteous though to mention in future if you have a personal interest in a product.

As for the second post, I'm already a step ahead of you and have removed it as we would do with any duplicate post. :D

Not a problem!

I am sure you left it in the most appropriate subject!
