I am learning mostly every deal from Foundations 1 and 2 from Jason England.

kevmundo I totally agree with you in mostly all of the things you said, but I don't agree that it isn't used in tricks, at least not for me...

3 ♣ I want to use for gambling demo and I think it is essential for gambling routines. I want to able to do any false deal, I don't know why, but I think they entertain me.
Thanks

That's fine you don't need any other reason than it entertaining you! I don't think anyone here would do magic if it didn't entertain them!

I guess you mean those kinds of demos in which you put the four aces on the bottom and deal yourself a hand of them using the bottom deal and things like that. I enjoy watching those routines, and I wish you the best of luck. I have heard that the bottom deal is tough though, perhaps to begin with you could learn a little routine in which you deal yourself 4 aces from the top using the second deal? I'm sure that would impress a lot of people! Then eventually you could learn to do the same but using the bottom deal.

Ok I will try to do that and then maybe if I make it good looking I will post it so you can tell me what you think...And for the bottom deal I think I will try to perfect one false deal and then another so I don't rush things...

Thanks

Sounds good, and if the video isn't perfect it doesn't matter people here aren't going to just dismiss it, there will be lots of constructive criticism I'm sure.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing you perform it some day :)

Gene Maze, (probably dead now) was one of the best in the world at false dealing. Centers, seconds, thirds, bottoms you name it. His recomendations to magicians is not to bother because there are so many easier ways to acheive the same effect in a magical presentation for a gambling routine.

But alas you say you are looking to amuse yourself. I recommend anything by the late great Martin Nash, (The charming Cheat).

There is also a blind magician for the life of me his name escapes me, if I remember I will look it up when I get home from work. But he is currently one of the best that is still alive.

Good luck because this type of stuff pretty much takes a life time of dedication to do well.

Speaking of dealing the four aces using false deals
There is a trick called face up centres in cardshark by Darwin Ortiz. Where you shuffle the aces face up into the deck and then deal out some hands of cards and the face up aces fall to your hand but apparently from the centre.

It's a wonderful gambling routine.
