It's been one of my favourite routines for many years. I learnt it from "Classic Secrets of Magic".

I hadn't seen that routine before now, but it's really nice. It's small, it's simple, it's fairly short, but I found it highly entertaining. I couldn't take my eyes off it.

It is a very old routine. I often think that young magicians sometimes lose out by not having a look at the old stuff occasionally. I have been doing that trick for about 53 years or so.

I wonder how many on this list have even heard of that very useful book. If you haven't, check it out here:

I think you have to be of a certain age to have read it - like Mark and I. :D

Yes. It is a very good book. I am amazed at the amount of material I use from it. And it has the Roy Benson Egg Bag finish in it. A terrific climax to the egg bag and despite the fact that this book is decades old nobody does it and I have absolutely no idea why. Yep. All this new stuff that is churned out nowadays is all very well but the best stuff seems to be hidden away in old books. For example at my local magic shop I see the bound copies of Hugard's Magic Monthly sitting there forlornly for years on end and not moving off the shelf. And yet the material in there is far stronger and more worthwhile than all the other tricks in the shop combined.

Herb Morrissey of Morrissey Magic used to get slightly exasperated when customers would ask "What's new?" He said to me, "They don't even know what's old yet!"

Here's a Dice routine I uploaded last April. There is another visual move I usually finish with, but it doesn't video well. Best omitted.

Yes, I have seen that video before. I always like that routine when I read about it in the past in the Ganson books but I never got around to trying it out.

Supreme Magic sold an effect using a similar method to that called 'Chameleon Spot Die'. Instead of numbers there was a single different coloured dot on each side which would change colour several times, finally ending up blank. It was a simple little trick but it went down surprisingly well with the spectators.
