I was reading an article in The Independent where various magicians chose their favourite trick. One of these was the effect where there are two small differently coloured pencils wrapped in tissue paper in a matchbox. The spectator removes one of these pencils whilst the magicians back is turned. Immediately the magician is able to say which pencil was removed. Apparently the method is very clever. Does anyone know the name of this trick, and where it might be purchased. Thanks.

this sounds like something that turns up in beginners magic books.
A variation of this can also be found in the Berg Book .
This excelent publication talks about the life and Magic of magic dealer Legend, Joe Berg.
His version uses several different coloured plastic Pyramids.
