Forensic Idetification App = Brilliant.

Postby Lee Smith » Mar 19th, '13, 10:25

Guys this is brilliant. This is another app that can be used in professional shows as well as just for fun.

It is very easy to do and very well made. You have to get this if you want an easy on the fly piece of fun magic that has many possibilities
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/forensi ... 38736?mt=8" target="_blank

Its like an interactive card at any number and has some clever presentation ideas.
Worth every penny and I have been using this a lot. Even magicians love it when I perform it for them. (when did you get that I want it lol)

It has my highest recommendation :D

Sorry, I just dropped another review of this in Tricks and Props, but I agree with everything Lee says above

This looks like a great app for any professional working magician or hobbyist.
It's one of the few apps in magic where the secret should keep secret, its a trick that would be in my repertoire if i had a iPhone.
Really it just sounds awesome. To be honest it doesnt look like a magic app at all. What's better is that you can edit the text on the 2nd function, so you can use it as a comedy moment or as part of a serious routine.
This really is a a great looking app that fits perfectly in the real world and could be used and again.

This sounds like a thing for magic nerds and hobbiests. Any professional worth his fee won't pull out an iphone during a performance. You might as well scream out loud that any moron with the app can do what you do - and what pro wants to make that impression?

I will use this in my professional show. It is entertaining and that is what magics all about. I know many professional magicians (respected ones) that use iphones in their acts.

What????? If I can walk away from a spectator who thinks that if he buys this app he can do the trick I have done a good job. If I can walk away from a spectator who is just puzzled by the app I have done a good job. If I can walk away from a spectator leaving them laughing at the app I have done a good job.

And so has the app

I put this out at a paid gig last Sunday and it got great responses. This is because as Lee says it entertains. It amuses. It intrigues. And that is what being a paid or unpaid magician is about. Its not about having your leaving your audience astounded by your skills and expertise it is about leaving your audience feeling that they have had an enjoyable interlude in their day and leaving them just a bit baffled as to how you did it all.

Surely this is something which some will use successfully and others wouldn't touch with a bargepole - the same as any other aspect of magic. Several people here have said they wouldn't do sponge ball magic yet others do so very well indeed - this item is just the same.

Done it four times today at my residency. Brilliant reactions and got some great comedy moments out of it. Specialy when I told one lady to calm down as its only an app.

Can't wait to use this again. Great for kids as well.

I think the noises add a lot of presentation to this. People was laughing as it was scanning the cards. There is no rush and I think with time there will be many more gags with this. Its a bit of fun and nonsense that can be used in many ways.

Let me know what presentation ideas you come up with?

Lee.
