First Corporate gig

Postby taneous » Jul 19th, '05, 16:19

I did my first Corporate gig last night. It was awesome. I was really nervous before I got there, but once I started performing it all just came naturally. There were around 200 people and I did walk-around for 3 and a half hours. It was on the top floor of this hotel - the restaurant had a revolving floor which was quite wierd at first. It made for some good lines. Doing a coin bend in someone's hand I was doing the usual suggestion stuff when I said "and you may feel the room spinning - don't worry about that"
I bent and twisted about 40 forks in the course of the evening. They'd hired me as a "cutlery sculptor" after I had shown the manager of one of their stores a spoon bend. I handed out quite a lot of business cards and the people really seemed to be enjoying what I did. I was still on a high this morning - definitely addictive :)

Hi Taneous.

Congrats on a great gig! It's such a great 'high' when you know that it's gone well.
