Enquiries - Call / Email

Postby Jing » May 31st, '13, 17:29

I was speaking with a non-magic friend recently and he said that he always tries to get people to call him rather than email him, as he believes he can sell to them better over the phone.

Personally I like to speak to people on the phone, but sometimes it can be awkward for example speaking to people when I'm out and about in town for example. I want to speak to them in a quiet place but I don't want to have to say, I'll call you back in four hours, because they might have booked someone else by then!?

The best for me is if someone emails and leaves their number, then I can prepare a quote and call them back.

Just wondering what other people's thoughts were. Do you prefer if people email / call? or are do you not mind either way?

Personally myself Jing, I rather talk to them over the phone or face to face.. You can express yourself better that way, rather trying to explain something which could be very important, via a text message or email... :)

When discussing pricing and the services they require it is always best either face to face or over the phone. And always call back as soon as you can. Even if you are in a 'busy' environment make that call just to make contact and explain that you are not at your desk and you will call them at such and such a time. That way they know when they can expect your call and they know if you don't call by that time then they will possibly go with somebody else. People understand that you are not available to discuss things at every waking moment. You just have to be polite and professional. They won't book another until they hear from you.
