Hello everyone!
My name is Jenny Trang Pham. I'm a MA Film Making student at Kingston University, London and I'm interested in producing a documentary about magicians as part of my graduation project.
I'm very interested in magicians, especially young magicians and their story of why they want to become a magician.
I have been looking for (young) magicians to take part in my documentary but I haven't got any responds so far. It would be a shame not to have a documentary about the art of magic and how it inspires young people!
Any recommendation/ advise on how I can get in touch with one would be highly appreciated!

There are several young magicians on TM, just give them time to see your request and I'm sure they'll be in touch. Is there an upper age limit to 'young' for this documentary?

PS Any time anyone wants to know about old, and very old, magicians......

Thanks, I guess I should wait for a week more or so
At the moment, there isn't an age limit for my documentary. I'm sort of writing a short script about a little boy who is interested in magic so I want to produce a documentary to learn about the subject and fulfill my curiosity about magicians too!
But anyone who is interested in this little low budget project would be great help to me

I would be interested to help out if I can, or at least to talk further.

I'm 26 and I've recently starting doing magic full time. I had a few years before that when I was doing magic semi-professionally and more years before that doing the occassional gig for friends. For me I see a big difference between professional magic and magic as a hobby.

Also far away but with the internet is anything that far? Anyway you can get in touch with Jann Goodsell who is the executive director of the SYM (Society of young magicians) which is part of the SAM the Society of American Magicians. What a pity ! About Young Magicians' Club, I've contacted them a week ago but haven't heard back from them yet!
