Starter kit for my 5 yr old

Postby snickers » Sep 17th, '13, 22:02

Hi all,

Looking for some advice.
My 5 yr old son has caught the magic bug and so I'm thinking of getting him a magic set for Xmas. Anyone got any tips or advice to help him on his way to his first performance on Christmas Day?!

Any help would be appreciated.

I was going to recommend Marvin's Magic too, some of their sets are very good

Make your own magic set and help your son with it making it a father and son project. what you need:

Mark Wilson Course in Magic.
Silk
Rope
Plastic cups and balls
Ball and vase
Cardboard boxes, (see the make your own illusions at the back of the book)

And this way there is always more.

Just a thought. Yes I know he is five but he can do it.

I was in my local Range store a few weeks ago. They had magic sets for £1 which has a paddle, die box trick and few other bits and pieces. I actually use the paddle as its quite good!

Also check The Works shops as they often have basic magic sets on sale.

I'll gladly sell you Human Blockhead kit for a tenner. You'll have to supply your own hammer, though.
