I bought a similar Houdini action figure some years ago whilst abroad. It was nicely packaged in a specially printed box and the assistant was happy to gift wrap it for me in the store.

However, when I got it home and opened the box - it was empty

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I think the same must have happened down at our local Weightwatchers Club. I went past there last night and I heard a woman crying, ' Help me, I'm desperate to get my figure back'.

(OK I'll go get my coat....)

Jeff its nothing to do with where he post is, just that normally advertising a business site isn't normally accepted.. (look at the rules  ) but i thing those action fiqures have swung it!

just a thought... do you need to keep them locked away?

I think Kems was having a little fun. They are Houdini dolls after all, so if you didn't keep them locked away they would obviously escape. Of course the fact that they ARE houdini dolls suggests that keeping them locked away won't help anyway...

just out of interest - your little competition - do you need to own one of the dolls to enter or can we just download a picture of one?

Just out of interest again do you have any plans for a new book? I am still using some of the material from the The King has left the building with amnesia, you had some good ideas in that.

bananafish,
Yes you need to purchase the figure from me to enter the contest, (strange how that works!).

I have no plans for a new book in the near future but "The King..."" will be reviewed in Genii next month and there are a couple of effects from it in the August issue of Magic.

I do have a new Mental effect coming out, I will send you one for review whan it is ready. I am waiting on Haines House of cards to print the ESP decks so I'm at their mercy.

Thanks for the comments.
