Smoke and Mirrors is the South coast's newest evening of magic, mind reading and mystery entertainment.

Following from the successes of the first series of events in 2008, Smoke and Mirrors are pleased to announce that the magic will be returning and Dan Edwards, Leon Simmonds and Simon Ambrose (plus other special guest magicians) will be delivering three evenings of amazing magic in Brighton, Worthing and Eastbourne in the Summer of 2009!

If any of you do fancy coming down and supporting the night, then that would be fantastic. We would also eally appreciate feedback and (constructive) criticism. Theres nothing really like this around down this way at the moment, so we are keen to make as good an impression as we can

The gigs last year were a good starting ground, but this year we're really trying to make it a lot more polished and professional. We're all still quite new to this, so we're still learning but we'll do our best

So all that's left to say is please check out the website for all the information (regularly updated!), including dates, times and venues as well as photo's, bio's and details for all the performers. There are also some photo's and info from previous events too! Come along, invite friends, bring a deck of cards join in the table magic, and just have fun

Eastbourne - 12th of August 2009 at the Crown and Anchor pub on Marine Parade, Eastbourne

Brighton - 19th of August 2009 at The Hope Bar on Queens Road, Brighton

Worthing- 26th of August 2009 at Occasions Nightclub , Worthing Seafront, Opposite Worthing Pier.

Oh poo! All the fun's happening while I'm in Edinburgh!

Sounds like great fun, a bit awkward for me being mid week but if I can make any of them I will do.

Yeah, we deliberately went for mid-week when theres less going on. Unfortunately Brighton has a three dozen or so other things going on at the weekend, so we thought that the competition would be less on the weekdays

Peter, yes I did notice that you were away. (Im the magician / mentalist who was chatting to you after your show in Brighton who had a copy 13 Steps in his pocket). Good luck with Edinburgh btw

I'll be there, no doubt. I'm doing my stage show in Eastbourne in september and it's great to have things locally like this. Let me know if you need any more performers by the way.

Are Smoke & Mirrors still meeting?

Well, we are still chatting, but as we all have so many crazy things going on right now (just having Christmas etc) we havent even thought about a Smoke and Mirrors magic show in a while ... well, thats a lie, we think about it ALL THE TIME, but havent ever really thought about a whole proper reunion tour ... There are things in the works which involve us working together, but not under the Smoke and Mirrors name (yet :p)

Not sure if Trez wants to add more / elaborate?
