Allow myself to ..introduce....myself
My name is Trent. I'm 27 and have been married for 5 1/2 years.
I got my first magic set when I was seven and have always loved the craft. I've only done it as a recreational hobby. I've done a couple of dinner shows and such for school and church but other than that, I'm just known to my friends as "the guy who moves stuff"
I've never really liked big stage illusions because of the big props and showyness (is that a word) of it all. I always loved close-up using borrowed objects and mostly focus on PK, mentalism and other effects that defy physics. I'm also not a big card guy as people automatically think "trick." Instead, I like people to be honestly baffled at seeing something that doesn't make sense. Does that make sense?
Anyway, that's me. Nice to meet you all. I've enjoyed roaming around the forum and reading up before I post. I'm sure you all have a lot to offer and I appreciate this wonderful source of info being made available to the amateur/learning magician.
