I'm was wondering if anyone could point in the right direction as to other effects besides the Benson Bowl routine that utilize the bowl as a prop in them.

The only one I can think if is a Bowl Routine in Magic Page by Page. This is based on Benson but uses a specific type of bowl with a base.

The rice bowls was a trick I used to like.

There's a version of Rice Bowls using wedding confetti or similar and you can compact that stuff quite well so the appearing quantity seems even more impossible. I daresay a bit of searching around will unearth a method, I saw it in a book of magic about 30 years ago - wish I'd bought it now!

Both the original Benson Bowl and the standard Rice Bowls are explained Bruce Elliott's Classic Secrets of Magic.

There's a whole Lesson on bowl productions and vanishes in Tarbell 5, and there's a Fire Bowl in Dunninger's Encyclopaedia.
