I have seen someone do the card in mouth. It is very effective and I think John Scarne used to do it. Alas it is indeed gross. And it tastes bloody horrible. Despite the grossness I thought I would try it since it seemed to get terrific reaction but alas I couldn't abide the horrible taste in my mouth. Perhaps I should have tried different brands.

I think one should then lead with card in shoe and then have the card lost yet again only to find it in ones mouth.
