English isn't your first language? Yet you know the 'c' word, the words 'sarcastic' and 'sarcasm,' and your name is Dave.

I see that I haven't given myself a proper intro

My name isn't Dave

I know some guy from the local chineese that's called Terry but is his name really Terry? Well it might be and I'm just giving a bad example but is any of your usernames really your usernames?

It's an alias I use

English isn't my first language. But do you have to assume it really is because I use english here and I have an english alias?

Mabye I spell a few things wrong because I am used to writhing things phonetically.

Sorry for the mix up

Perhaps it might be as well to tell us more about yourself in due course then we won't make daft mistrakes or assumptions. I see from your profile that the name 'Dafydd' is probably more appropriate but is that an alias as well? Just wondering. Hope to hear more from you soon. :D

PS As ol' Bill Shakespeare once said, 'What's in a name?' and 'A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet'. Very strange guy, Shakepeare!

Why not? I am Chinese but I have a Western first name. And yes, it really is my real name! Obviously, I have my Chinese name too, but you should be aware that not all of us tag on a western name just for the hell of it. Believe it or not, we were named by our parents, just like you were! (By the way, I'm not having a go at you, I'm just making a point). And I understand the point you are trying to make.

Welcome to the forums. :D

Thank you! Yes Dafydd is my proper name. I'm Welsh and I apparently live in the same area as seige.
(though saying that I don't think I know him)
