Hows about we up the ante a bit and make links only valid with at least 3 intermediates but no more than 6? (Or something like that).

Can't see any advantage in not allowing less than 3 links but only allowing a maximum of 6 would certainly increase the challenge in some cases.

Arn't cogs usually metal? still don't think wood is particularily assosiated to Cog. Maybe it's just me.
