Thumbcuffs

Postby nikwak » May 15th, '03, 13:37

In a very mad moment - don't ask me why - I purchased a pair of thumbcuffs, thinking that it was an 'escape' item that I could carry about in my pocket for ad hoc magic moments! I got the thumbcuffs and, for the life of me, I cannot think of any circumstances when they could be used and how they could possibly fool anyone.
The cuffs have a double lock on the front of them which somehow gives away the idea that a key may be involved. So, without mentioning the 'secret' of unlocking them, can anyone tell me how they can be used? Or should I just throw them to the back of the magic cupboard?

They can be used as a great way to prove you can't manipulate a deck or an object under cover - i.e. lock your thumbs and sleights seem impossible!!!

or have two rings one on each arm behind back then come to front with each ring locklinked tougether.
