junmping card

Postby svengalli_man » Aug 13th, '05, 02:40

i saw a trick performed on television where a card is taken out and returned to the top of the deck, the magician puts faces opf the cards toward the spectator and tells him to say jump, when he does, the card goes flying out of the deck and into the other hand of the magician, i know it is a flick of the thumb on the back of the cards, but i cant get a controled flight path, it just flings out and sometimes like to bring other cards with it, any pointers?

I'm not sure whether this is the move you mean but you may want the Long Distance Spinner, available as an instant download from Penguin. It's mentioned in another thread here (possibly in the reviews forum) so why not have a look there?

You could also use the Hot Shot Cut, too. A personal favourite =o)

It sounds a little like "The Samurai Move" on Lennart Green vol 5 to me. If it is that effect i can only suggest taking a look at that DVD.
