If you're just starting out - with zero experience -

JB Bobo's Modern Coin Magic. You can get it, quite literally, anywhere. You'll be busy for years with it, so pick it up, grab some coins and go nuts!

Follow the advice of Demitri and buy yourself a copy of BOBO's Modern coin Magic.

GO NOW WHAT ARE YOU STILL READING THIS FOR?

I started in cards, and have mainly stayed in that area as my comfort zone, talents, and entusiasm are in that area.....however, I have been trying to bring in more coin effects into my work. Recently a friend was in San Francisco, and bought me the Bobo book......it is a great book!

For a simple coin trick I would recommend Hopping Halfs (or one of its variants).
