Neone know where to learn matrix free?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

... and can you?? :P

I keep seeing this amazing effect where the performer posts on an internet forum and everyone suddenly becomes either annoyed or sarcastic. If the performer is enough of a newbie sometimes they can achieve both! Anyone know where I can learn it free or download it? Maybe you could just post it here for everyone to read!??!?

I love chatting to newbies, but people must understand that secrets are not just given away. We spend all that time and money learning how an effect is done and we have the right to protect that secret. Sorry if that sounds unkind, but that is just the way it is. The forum is open and anyone can view them. I wish i could do a Doctor Who Illusion

I wonder how the BBC are going to get around the fact that Timelords can only regenerate 12 times. This new fella is going to be number 11...

I do know this (i am not allowed to say from what source though  ), they are going to ignore the history and just carry on.

Very convenient...

I'm sure all the die-hard fans will be up-in-arms about the inconsistency. I'm not too worried myself, didn't really think much of the new series.

I guess I'm still old school. :D

That was one of two plots being considered. Old series was much better. Anyway back to magic  ....

Doesn't everyone know that you can't just get good magic tricks for free? Why not look for a magic shop near you that you can go to, and you can ask them if they carry those tricks. Or just go online retailers and do it in the comfort of your own home.

Yeah, I think the fact that so many people on this forum like speaking to new people (or at least have no problem doing so) is what makes it such a welcoming place for new people to come! I certainly found that to be the case! :D
northnoob:
People often come here asking for secrets to be revealed even when they have no interest in magic and they're usually newcomers to the forum who immediately post asking about the secret much like you did. That's why you got the response you did! The best thing to do is just to ask if anyone knows where a trick is available if you want to learn it and people will be more than happy to help point you in the right direction wether that be to a book or DVD or whatever. :)

When I started magic I went to the internet straight away - only to find no secrets. At first this was a little disappointing, as I was enthusiastic to learn but the route in seemed very hard. But boy am I glad that magic is so well kept secret! I mean you can find most things on the internet; how to make bombs, how to cook a roast dinner, how to build a jet pack and everything! But you can't get magic for nothing! And I think it's great! A friend asked me how to do a trick and when I refused to tell him he said he would simply "look on the internet tomorrow", yeah good luck hehehe!

I disagree, sure there are no sites that revela how to do more of the complex moves but there are many websites that reveal regular card tricks, ther is a site that revelas how to do the hummer card or the balducci levitation...Is the four coin assembly PG 183 in Mark Wilsons COmplete COurse in AMgic the same thing as the matrix, if so you can get that book for about $13...I used the four coin assembly and I fooled my mo.m and dad real good it was the first time they were stunned and couldnt even guess on how i did the trick.. :D

The support and encouragement newbies get on here is invaluable. I would hate to see that diminshed because a few people either can't or won't read and abide by the rules.

My magic was built around Svengali decks and self working gimmicks until I found this site, I now get a real kick out of learning a new sleight and have several times had good advice from members about technique.

Long may that sort of support and help continue.

Although this sort of thing does affect what we can and can't do to a certain extent, there's no way any of the Mods would let it cause serious problems. (Even if we do get nasty PM's as a result! )
