If you never have seen this trick before, it's on Sankey's Secret Files Vol 1.

Effect:
A spec signes a piece of paper with his initials. The paper is crumbled and kept in his hand. A new piece of paper is signed, with the magicians initials. This piece is also crumbled. This piece is set on fire, and thrown into a glass on the table. After set on fire, one can still see that the piece is in the glass, and when unfolded, it's the piece signed with the specs initials, which should be in the specs hand. And when the spec opens his closed fist, and unfolds the piece of paper, it's the paper with the magicians initials!

My thoughts
This is a beautiful effect, and it would fool both magicians and laymen. I was fooled the first time, but cought it the second time (as a magician, you would, as you know so many moves etc). Now anyway, the way that this routine is put together, you will get surprised how some of the moves and techniques are used. I just loved it, and this will for sure be one of my new favourite walkaround tricks, in the future.

Having said that - the whole dvd is lovely. As all of Sankey's work, it's worth every single penny.

Hey Rune, are you familiar with Sankey's "Fan Mail" effect?

Similar effect where Sankey exchanges autographs with a spectator.

Basically, he has a slip of paper with his signature on it, which he folds up and puts in his pocket. Spectator signs a slip of paper, and right in front of their eyes, their signature becomes his signature. The spectator's paper is now produced from the pocket of the performer.

It's on Front Row Sankey, which is an excellent dvd.
