colour changing streamer review

Color Changing Silk Streamer £19.95

You shake a long black scarf in the air and suddenly it is filled with a rainbow of colors!

This is beautiful Silk Magic!

With a flick of the wrist, it changes to a black streamer. Or if you like it can go from color to rainbow

3 feet in length!

Beautiful effect!

just used this item in my latest gig, its a great prop well constructed and beutifuly printed, one tip with handeling because of the way its constructed finding the change bit can be abit difficult if your pulling it out of a ghost tube. (also avalible from emagictricks)
so i pretend im going to produce a raninbow dove, on finding that its not thier i then shake the streeamer and i have a ranbow slik.
another idea for handeling is to come on stage with it around your neck, then have someone shout its black tie tonoght, change from rainbow to black and your set.
good as an opener, mid performance or as an end.

I recently bought this based on the review (See, the power of the forum!) - and agree that it is a very nice item. Thanks magicdiscoman.

I am still building up confidence with it, but the way I have used it so far is to get my girlfriend to wear it in it's 'Black' form when we visit friends and family.

At some point I ask one of the children what they think of her new silk scarf and suggest that it would be even prettier if it was more colourful. When they agree (they always agree) I ask to borrow the scarf and with a flick of the wrist (and a magic word) I transform the scarf into it's multi coloured rainbow guise and give it back to my girlfriend.

I then carry on as if nothing out of the ordinary has happend.
(I love impromptu magic with every day items).

I 'Guest' as much!

Your trademark super smiley faces gave you away! (not to mention the posting time of 4.28am!!!)

Is this similar to the rope to silk effect??? Or even the vanishing cane to silk???

 enter trademark here

more like rope to silk / colour changing silk but with no fiddly "ring".
i have had both plastic and metal (current) versions of the vanashing cane to silk, the plastic version tends to wear out fast and can kink.

metal much better and faster watch low ceilings when you first start practicing.

i have the fire attatchment which i fill with flash wool for kids shows, i love whatching the specs face when i hand them a petrol can :!:

wow its midday not midnight who got me up :!: :!: :?:

Hmm...

I like the sound of the Cane to Fire...
I used to do a silly thing with a vanishing cane, which was to walk out in front of spectators apparently 'crippled' from too many levitations gone wrong, then the cane collapses and I fall again, and say "And I'll have to stop practicing the Vanishing Rabbit trick with my cane!!!".

But, as you said, the cane soon gets kinked, and refuses to work.

But the fire bit would be a great misdirection!
Where d'ya get it???

Good posting this - we started with a review of Colour (sorry, Color) Changing Silk Streamer and ended up at the AGM of Pyromaniacs UK plc. Any indications as to from where said Silk Streamer can be sourced?

Thanks for that, I did a search but used the UK spelling of Colour - eejit that I am. The US spelling is much more rewarding - thanks a million!

We have both the Colour change streamer and lit torch to cane attachment for the fantasio canes at Studio9, and even if they're not on the website (lack of time to update, should be done this weekend maybe) we do stock them.
