Postby SirRawlins » Aug 26th, '05, 18:39

Hello Chapps,

First time posting a video so probably wont work ... this isnt me but i saw it on ebaum's world a while back and it impressed me.

I have spent a while picking it apart and have it pretty much down now ... seems to impress specs ... they actualy seem to think he manages to do some sort of "super palm" that keeps it out of thier view ... bless 'em!

Enjoyed the patter aswell, he seems quite the cool cucumber!

hosting it on my webspace for now ... http://www.tamedtechnology.co.uk/invisiblecards.wmv

Should be plenty quick for streaming.

Rob

Aha, The trick is called "Invisible Palm Aces" and I think Paul Harris was involved in the creation. I love doing it. My friend, who's also a magician taught me when we had a session sort of. It's really cool.
The best thing is there is no gimmicks. :)

You can also see a user on this forum, rcarlsen perform it on his website, http://www.magical.no/ under the videos section

Yep ... quite into the RCarlson version ... not sure weather its quite as good as the other ... just doesnt quite have the snappiness to the sit down of the cards... he plants his palm and then slides .. a little too slow ... but still a very tight routine!

I hate to be picky, but the actual name for this trick is The Invisible Palm, which is Paul Harris' version of Larry Jennings' Open Travellers. This particular version is the Paul Harris method with some slight variations. You can see a pure version of the Paul Harris version by clicking here. I filmed it for comparison to another version, which is linked to on that topic. If you want to learn this method properly, it can be found in Paul Harris' Art of Astonishment.

All the best,

Will Wood
