I actualy used to perform on stage quite alot a few years back .. did several seasons of oliver twist ... playing the artfulll dodger! ... only on stage the victim would have pockets the size of carier bags.

Darren Brown's Absolute Magic is a good resource for the misdirection aspect of pick-pocketing (and a tad of methods, as well).

very good dvd, i watched it, and was stealing watches, and belts the same night
obviously some of the watches need practise, but some are just straight forward ,
