GREAT DECK. You can do sooo many tricks with this deck, its un real. Unlike the svengali deck, this deck can be handed out and be examined and shoufeled, etc. The cards are cut with a small, undetectable gimmick. When you rotate a card around 180 degrees, it has a small, undetectable "break". You can then find their card every time, or really freak people out.! A++++++++++++++

yep - love it - makes card magic easy!?! You can get a little booklet called something like '101 tricks with a stripper deck', which should give you some variety, and a few novel ways of proving your genius. It only costs a couple of quid. I got mine from Davenports, though I'm sure you could order them from pretty much any magic site/dealer.

Cheers

I have the book too, it is good, but the funny thing is that once you have gone through it from front to back, you really end up with just a handful of presentable tricks, rather than 101!

Having said this, I am making a real effort to leave my stripper deck in it's box and work on my sleights... The practise is finally starting to pay dividends!

So, how many stripper decks have you got, then???

You let spectators sign cards from your stripper???

Is it a Bike deck?

Hmm...

 my favoutate cards

i have about three cheep sets (around £2 each) for signed card routines.
and two expensive ish sets for general card tricks one is also a fanning deck for showing off.

i dont use any other cards except svengali cards for forceing.

i dont do many card tricks but have never been caught out as i handle eack deck as if it was a normal deck, which is not surprising as they are my regular deck

great for brginers and seasoned profesionals (even purists).

highly recomended.

was given a marked card/stripper deck when i was about 12 absolutely loved it... then swapped it for mars bar and a copy of maths homework... regretted it ever since...( this is actually true!)

REALLY gonna have to buy a bicycle stripper deck just for old times sake..hehe

Forget standard strippers/wizards...

Get a taper end cut deck. Much neater, easier to strip, and is perfect for seasoned card handlers. Highly recommended. Allows you to strip during an overhand shuffle, works great. Also, makes oil an water a breeze...
Far less obvious to people... for instance, I bought a Marvin's kit for my nephew for Xmas a while back, which include a wizard and a svengali deck. He's pretty fluent with a stripper deck now, and performs some great tricks with it.

You may call me a 'purist', but I find manipulations, cuts and riffles very difficult with stripper decks during the course of regular magic. My favourite forces are done with Hindu shuffles, almost impossible with a seasoned stripper deck.

They're a great utility if used in moderation, but I really can't see how you can perform a whole routine with strippers... but that's just me!

OK, so it may seem like I'm knocking the use of stripper decks - not at all! I use a stripper deck regularly, and they've helped me create lots of magic. They're also great for beginners - and I would imagine that a lot of people's first dealings with magic involved a stripper/wizard deck.

I was merely wondering how a whole performance could be done with stripper decks alone... as I would find it impossible... plus the fact I'd hate to destroy my prized gaff cards!!! (and I destroy/mame a LOT of cards during an evening!!!)

 yes well

not being a card magician myself to lazy arthritic dyslexic take your pick i only know the tricks that i do with wizard like decks.

i also got my origionals from marvins executive magic set, i use them for mostly free selections cut to top then double turn over switches and the like.

or as a force card shuffle then cut to card i can cut chosen card to top or under top packet there choise.

sometimes do the find the card behind the back trick strip out and when spec is looking for there card stick it to my forhead :!:

nothing major maybey cut to top for card to wallet :?:
