Hey Mog

I love this routine, and would love start doing it myself. You started off SMOOTHLY and FLAWLESS, but as you got to the 3, and some D's, I think you hesitated a little bit. If you can get that just as flawless as the start, you have a 100% smooth routine. Very nice work. Good rythm, and good moves, just get a tiny better touch on some of the D's.

Remember, those are comments from a magician, not a layman.... You did it very good !

try shaking the cards more, when you did it, you looked a little lazy and it kinda ruins the effect

but the trick was pretty awesome though!

I don't think thats true at all.
You don't need to shake the cards to make anything magical happen, a snap, a wave of the hands, it's all magic.

Nicely done, mog. Interesting finish. Personally, I've always had a bit of a problem with the finish, but have had some trouble coming up with a finish. I'd love to hear some input from you on the matter.

Do you normally do this as a standalone effect, or do you work it in as a closer to an acr routine?

Great job!

i like very much this effect.
Normally i start from the deck loading 5 (6) cards and i discard them face UP on the deck itself . Then a little shuffle and all can be controlled... because my spec suspect always some gaffed cards in this routine....

Let's discuss the setup of this routine. How do you normally load the extra? Do you pick out the 5 cards, and then put them face up onthe deck, to load the final one? I don't like that idea, as you have no reason to put the cards on the top of the deck again. Any other good setups? Guess it goes for a lot of tricks like this...

one way is to run the final card to the face of the deck then throw out the 5 in order and simply cop of the final card as you place the deck on the table and then place it where it needs to be in the packet as you pick them up from the table..

Hope that makes sense without giving too much away!

I do a different kicker, where the card doesn't change color but stays in line with the . Rather the final card is placed openly in the middle of the deck (if you're feeling confident, you CAN have a spectator do it). Then patter about the 5 of spades (or whatever the final card is) being the most ambitious. Then I have the spectator turn over the top card to reveal the 5 of spades.

I don't think loading the cards back on top of the deck is really a problem. The way I cover for it is that I pull the cards out of the deck as I run through it - then remark how I want them in sequential order. Now you have a plausible excuse for piling the cards on the deck.

i agree with mog and demitri. loading the red 5 is not a problem... ordering the five cards face up on the top of the deck and maintaning a break under the red 5 face down the loading dont create any suspect...

after, peeling and hiding the card in biddle grip i take them in the right order to start the routine.
