A very hard internet riddle!

Postby Stephen Ward » Sep 11th, '05, 14:47

For all computer geeks (like me!) and computer buffs. Try to solve the 138 pages of this riddle.

Very, very hard. I am on page 6 at the moment.

You will need skills in internet and computer use.

Yeah saw all that, and it's helped, big time! Not so far for level 8 though.

As far as level 6 goes... there's more on that page that you can't see......

I'm known as a very positive person, and, in this case, I am absolutely certain that I will not finish the puzzle.

I'm currently on level 24. I think it's pretty cool, but some of them are REALLY tough to figure out.

If I put 2 fingers up at you, that would be a huge clue. But you're only less than halfway there getting the sweet!
Open the pic in an image viewer, boost the contrast, look in the mirror.

This puzzle has been going for a few months at least (I started it back in January), and I gave up at about Level 74 (admittedly, there were 3 of us working it!)

I would say that when we were 'hard at it' we were cracking about 3 or 4 levels a night. So that gives some idea of how addictive it becomes.

Oh, and you DO need to be a bit computer savvy to get anywhere. The whole thing relies on much more advanced lateral thinking and logic than just googling and point-and-click. It's VERY clever.

Good luck!

Like I said, it took 3 of us about a month on and off to get to 73.

The hints I can give are:

1. Look in the source code... the answers are sometimes there
2. If a page has a google bar, you will undoubtedly need it
3. If there's a picture, open it with an image editing app and try inverting it, changing the contrast etc.
4. Try mouse-over the pic in various places. There is sometimes a hidden button or clue
5. Read the title of the page, and the title of any pop-up windows. There are clues hidden all over the shop!
